A Smorgasbord at Smorgasburg

Sometimes I feel quite sad that I don't venture into the cities more...considering I live very close to both New York and Philadelphia.

I love to adventure and travel but I am more of a "country-side" explorer.  I traveled most of the Midwest as a party of one.  Stopping random places and taking random turns to see what I could find...I even spent a day on an Iowa hog farm watching hundreds of little piglets scamper around. Great day.

Last year on a random whim I went into Brooklyn (yes I drove my pickup truck) to the Brooklyn Flea's Smorgasburg, which moves indoors for the winter.  I couldn't wait to go back this year!  With my eye out for unique stocking stuffers I did not leave empty handed.
Local artists. Authentic and life changing-ly scrumptious ethnic food. Artisan jams, butters, hot sauce, & baked goods. Antiques galore. Handcrafted everything.

How grand! All things I love in one giant room.

And in the event that you're really in a jam for some unique gifts they are open all weekend.

Here's some pictures of my outing...

Apotheke's Tomato candle smells just a like a greenhouse filled
with Tomato plants ready to be planted in the field...a very comforting smell since I spent most of my youth running around in a greenhouse.

Make sure you save room for a fancy "Dough"nut

Oh and I didn't take a picture but I picked up some fabulous Quince Cranberry Jam spiked with Whiskey from Anarchy in a Jar.
