Dancing Seeds

In the last two weeks it all began for the 2014 season.

Where we start?

Onions.

We seed our onions in 128 trays (trays with 128 holes for seeds) and then transplant them into the field in the spring.  We seed by hand and with this fun little seeder.

The seeds dance, get scooped up and dropped into the flats.  We cover with a little potting soil, water, and place in the greenhouse where it's more like July than February!

And in about 100 days from now....
