What to do With a Watermelon Radish...

In this week's $25 and $15 boxes one of the items you will find is...the Watermelon Radish.  I think they are so fun for several reasons: the name would be #1...and then how incredibly beautiful they are when you cut them open!
I love growing radishes but when it comes to eating them I have never been very adventurous.  But with beauties like these I did a little "Pinterest-ing" for some inspiration.

I read in a cook book that the best way to eat a Watermelon Radish is thinly sliced (I think mine were too thick), with a squeeze of lime juice (I had no limes in the house...sorry for the "fake" lime juice), and some sea salt. Not bad...but I want to offer you some other suggestions...that are perhaps a little more involved then just salt and lime juice.
